The Cast is off!

Reilly got her cast off yesterday. We celebrated with a "water party". She says she misses her cast and she wanted to keep it. Go figure. She actually said in the Doctor's office "But mom, I love my cast." By the end of the day she didn't miss it, though (I think).

Sox Game

Jim, Papa and the girls went to a White Sox Game for Father's Day. The girls got home at 11pm and were exhausted...but both said they had lots of fun. Reilly has yet to go a day without her new pink Sox hat from Papa.

The new patio

A few weeks ago we had a stamped-concrete patio poured. It is a mocha color with a smokey grey accent. The pattern is called "Orchard Stone" and looks like flagstone. We have lots of lanscaping to do and have to buy some patio furniture...maybe next year! We kept the small deck they gave us with the house as a platform step and just removed the railing...I tried to hide it with some Rhoderdedrum bushes and a Holly bush...I still have to paint it too.

Kris's Garden

Well, it was questionable for a few weeks but I think I did it! The garden is flourishing! I have some tomatoes, 2 zucchini plants, basil, one strawberry bush (for the girls), bell peppers and banana peppers, and lastly my cucumber plant (which is the only thing that died).

Very small to start but next year I will expand!

Oswego Prairie Fest 2008

Our first summer fest in the 'burbs. Reilly had fun in the petting zoo and was amazed she could ride a camel (just like Grandma Joyce and Grampy in Egypt). Emily, of course, stuck with the pretend lion on the carousel. Fun day!
