Crazy Slide

Here is my neighbors crazy waterslide (their whole backyard is a circus). The girls went crazy the first time (early August) and spent two hours one afternoon going up and down and up and down. This is their second time...mid-August...I forgot to post it. The video doesn't even do the fun justice. The girls were going head first, feet first, dunking their heads and gettting right back up again. They grew some kind of "super skin" in Canada...much more brave...Anyway, they had a blast on it again on Labor Day at my neighbors BBQ too. (P.S. that is not me yelling on the video!)

Red Oak Nature Center

In-love with Nature Walks...this place was the best place to take the girls. So happy to have discovered it. We will go back in the fall to see all the leaves changing colors. It is only 15minutes from our house, on the Fox Valley River. There was an little in-door part with a little video, some bee hives, some learning activites, etc.

Emily is swinging all by herself

The other day I was helping Devin in the payhouse...Emily was waiting on the swing, as usual for me to push her. Reilly was swinging away, as usual. I finish what I was doing and head over to Emily...who, is already swinging! I asked Reilly if she pushed her and she said "no". Emily figured it out on her own and was swinging as high as Reilly. She was so proud and proceeded to swing for an hour straight.

A very small milestone...but very exciting for our little family...

Emily also started her first "big girl" class yesterday. She was without mommy for an hour. She did great and didn't cry when I left her. I told her I was going to buy M&Ms for her (that helped a lot)...she was good the whole class...then the teacher said the last 2or3 minutes she got really sad (pouting)...she let it all go when she saw me...cried and clung to me. Poor thing. She has six more weeks!

Labor Day Weekend

We went up to Dan's cottage for the day on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. He has a trailer in a really nice campground area. There was a great little lake and two beaches. We all had a great time. We can't wait to go up next summer. Emily warmed up to Dan's dog...Rocky...a boxer. She is getting braver!
