The Art Institute of Chicago

They loved the European Modern Art.

Jackson Pollock is a favorite

Georgia O'Keefe is Emily's favorite

Reilly learned about Pointalism in school so we found this Georges Seurat

Reilly is learning a lot about Vincent van Gogh and Pablo Picasso...so we found them

The Bedroom

They loved these because they looked like photographs

We thought this was "art" until the lady told us we could have a candy!

Marc Chagall's "windows"

Handsome

This is what I got when I said "where is your silly face"

This is what I got when I said "where is the White Sox"...

This is what I got when I said "where is your happy face"...

Fingerpainting!

This activity ended in crying and a second bath for the day. It was still fun fun anyway :)

This is actually a smile...the crying started once the paper was gone and the paint was in his hair and on his face and well, we couldn't figure out what he wanted so he freaked out as usual.

New Couches!!!!

Easter Morning

Fun! Lettuce and carrots were left out for the Easter Bunny. The kids got up at 6:15am and were already hunting upstairs...so we just got up. Jim and I napped on the couch after all chocolate was found :) We went over to Grandma Lane's and Dan's after lunch...Kerry and Bob and the puppies came too.

The Jungle Beat Show - Reilly

Reilly was in a first grade musical show called Jungle Beat.

Her job for one of the songs was to be inside her sleeping bag (my sleeping bag) and gradually cover herself up according to the lyrics. She had fun with that one and felt special. It took a lot of months of coaxing for me to let her bring the sleeping bag to school. I didn't believe her at first and me and my neighbor told the kids to tell their music teacher to send a note home if she really needed the sleeping bag! Ha!

Reilly and Ali Martin

Thanks PJ Grandma!

COOKIE MONSTER!!!!!!!

The girls loved that their American Dolls got the matching PJs.

Jim's Birthday - April 2nd
