Camping and the 4th of July

We went to Devil's Lake State Park this year for our camping trip. It was sooooo much better than last year!!!!!!!!!!! We had so much to do...hiking, swimming, beach, playground for girls. It was so fun. We will go here every year I think. We had a great campsite right near the bathroom (great for little ones and a pregnant lady) and great "neighbors" and not right in the trees - so no bugs. Last year Emily swelled up from all the mosquitos...this year no bites! The girls slept great in the tent and even took naps during the day. It just couldn't have went better ;0)

The hike was a little more difficult than Jim had anticipated...it was beautiful...but after an hour and a half of "rock climbing" Jim had to carry the girls back to the car! If he had one more arm he would have been carrying his pregnant wife!

You can see how high we hiked...below is the beach (to the left).

4th of July...

After 3 days and two nights of camping we went to Papa's cottage. We got some fireworks and caps and snakes, we played on the slip and slide and climbed trees (even Daddy!). Great time and relaxing 4th of July! The water balloon fight was hilarious and I am sure Dad and Papa will come up with some new "tricks" for next year!

The water balloon fight. Someone filled the girls balloons with air instead of water...but somehow the boys had their balloons filled with water. Luckily, Reilly got Dad back later...

Nana and the girls "sun bathing"

Baby news...
The baby bump is finally here! I finally gained a few pounds...6.5 to be exact...on this trip alone! Still I just can't believe how different this pregnancy is...maybe that means its a boy...20 weeks and counting...

Those are great pictures. I have to ask what attracts a family to vacation at Devil's Lake? How does a lake get named as such?

I noticed you spelled neighbours wrong!
