Blackberry Farm and Pioneer Village

A morning trip to Blackberry Farm and Pioneer Villiage. I thought the girls might be too old for it...but they loved it. I think they even enjoyed it more now then in past years. This time they actually learned some stuff too. Jim was in heaven...a train to ride.

One room school house.

Yes that is a Dunce Hat.

We rode this three times...requested by everyone.

Tractor\wagon ride. Jimmy loved this. He really wanted ride the actual tractor that pulled us though.

Paco, the donkey.

Riding Ponies...even Jimmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! see below....

Pioneer house. We learned alot about how we are so fortunate not to have as many chores as the children of this era, not to share a room with six other kids, and how electricity allows us to power up our DS, Kindle and Ipods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See he rode one! Actually three times he did! This is the third time...I was trying to get a good pic and annoying him so it doesn't look like he is happy...but he really loved it.

Jimmy was trying to share his candy stick with all the animals, including these turkeys.

Reilly's favorite thing was the Weaving House. She was really interested in learning how Yarn is made and what a Loom was...I was surprised how they stood there for 15min captivated by the presentation.

One of our three trips on the train. They are the Caboose here ;0)
